What's your favorite part of being a Caregiver?
My favorite part of being a Caregivers is helping my clients stay in the comfort of their own home and getting to meet so many amazing new clients.
What is one thing you've learned on the job from a client?
I've learned that I do make a difference in their life and what an impact I make for them each and every shift. They're counting on us!
What are some of your favorite activities to do with your clients?
I LOVE to cook with my clients! It brings me and my clients joy to talk and interact while making something special for them.
Tell us about a moment or day you felt you made someone feel special.
One of my clients was nearing her end of life and was in more pain than usual this particular day. She was sitting on her couch rocking back and forth in pain. I noticed it was way to quiet in her house so I downloaded the "Calm" app and put on some soothing music to try and comfort her. In no time at all she stopped rocking and fell asleep on the couch. When she woke up she gave me a smile and that was the first smile I had seen in months.
What specific qualities or characteristics do yo have that helps you as a Caregiver?
I'm kind, giving, bubbly, joyful, motivated and am extremely passionate about being a Caregiver!
What are you most proud of in regard to working for Home Care Partners and being a Caregiver to seniors?
I'm proud to be working for such a family-oriented company with such wonderful clients. I'm so glad I was chosen to be an employee at Home Care Partners and given the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our clients.
What motivates you?
Knowing that I get the opportunity to go out everyday and help keep my clients in their own homes. Knowing that they are counting on me to show up for my shift and help them perform their daily activities. Knowing that if it wasn't for us caregivers they wouldn't be where they are today.
How do you feel working for Home Care Partners helps you to make a difference?
Without working for Home Care Partners and the support and care of management I wouldn't be doing what I love! I truly feel like I am part of a family. Feeling valued makes me want to do my very best for the company and my clients. Thank you Home Care Partners for believing in me.
What are your future aspirations?
I would love to go to school and get my Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. I feel this would enhance my career and help me deliver a higher level of care to my clients.
