“If you want to make good use of your time, you’ve got to know what’s most important and then give it all you’ve got.” ~ Lee Iacocca

Overall, in Nebraska 34% of residents volunteer, giving 58.23 million hours of service contributing to $1.3 billion. When we think of give to Lincoln day we thank our community for time, talent and treasure. They help their neighbors, serve their communities, and provide their expertise. No matter what kind of volunteer work they do, they are contributing in invaluable ways.
Looking back at the last few years I was able to give back in some form to wonderful organizations such as my church, children’s school, United Way, American Heart Association, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, Junior Achievement, AARP Life Reimagined, the Coalition for Older Adult Health Promotion, End of Life Coalition, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, RISE, Be the Match, and Women in Sales and Business.
As we reflect on how we spend our time, we’ve got to know what’s most important and then give it all we’ve got.
